Aaron Rettig was born in Summit, Oregon and graduated from World Class Kayak Academy. He has been on kayak expeditions in Africa and South America and worked on The Africa Revolutions Tour and The Oil and Water Project, as well as several other film expeditions. For the past few years, Colombia has been Aaron’s main focus. In 2007 Aaron filmed and produced the film, “Lo Demas Es Loma” a documentary about the lives of four Colombians and how U.S. foreign policy has affected their lives. Aaron received his degree in journalism from the University of Oregon and has worked as a freelance writer. Colombia Whitewater is Aaron’s first book.
