Mark Hentze and Lane Jacobs in a Kogi Village of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia
Chaco sandals are my favorite sandals for any season and any activity be it paddling in the tropical jungle or heading up to the mountain for an afternoon of skiing. I wear my Chacos sandals year round and I believe that Chacos worn with wool socks is an attractive style. Chacos are equally comfortable whether you are hiking, relaxing around the living room, or relaxing around camp after a long day on the river. The Chaco Hipthong Pro which I prefer, are comfortable and feature a tension buckle rather than Velcro®. I always find that Velcro® on river running footwear quickly looses it grip after exposure to sand. The Vibram® sole provides excellent traction on slick river rocks, or if you are heading up your favorite trail. The Vibram® sole is also long lasting, and coupled with the heavy duty nylon webbing the Chaco Hipthong Pro and all Chaco sandals make them a simple, affordable, comfortable and long lasting pair of sandals suitable for most any condition or expedition.
